My work have demonstrated that dietary molecules and drug potentiate cytotoxicity across a range of clinically achievable doses, an inference drawn from the experiments with human pancreatic cancer cell lines. The clinical implications of this synergistic interaction are paramount and include improvements in efficacy, treatment-associated toxicity, tolerability of therapeutic regimens, and quality of life. Transfection with microRNA along with the drug and dietary molecules behaved differently in both the cancer cell lines and the mechanism of synergy involved the decrease in the expression of Pro caspase 3 and PARP followed by cleaved PARP, that signifies the apoptotic path. Worked on “Study of the synergistic effect of dietary molecules in combination with clinically validated cancer chemotherapeutic agents” at JNU, New Delhi as Doctorate fellow.
